Or 5th (depending what stat you go on based on time) largest economy in the world and experienced growth in the GDP while the US as a whole saw a contraction and California leads the country in manufacturing.

Despite what many voters cited at the last presidential election, people seem to care about culture wars more than their own wallet and U.S. economy, largely part to amplification on social media
