For every Mosley and Perkins I would point to

Sean East
Honor
Carter
Hodge
Gomillion
Other player that class that hit two game winners
Bates
Grill
Mitchell

All of the players above had a season with MU that was superior than the team they came from. I think Gates reputation, if anything, is taking a player and polishing them up to a grade higher.

You pointed two examples of the down side, but I suspect he has a higher success rate in the portal than most high major coaches.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
