with the new rules I was able to keep it to just a couple hundred $$ more, but these are the new negatives:
roof deductible is now $4K intead of $1500
Roof is now depreciated and no longer paying for "full new roof" each claim.
Autopay monthly instead of yearly (who cares)
Added a vehicle to this policy which was actually cheaper than the current policy the vehicle was on so I saved another couple hundred per year making this almost a wash
I am only going to have this house for a short time and the roof is basically new so none of this matters if we sell it within the next year or so and don't have a claim
Really the roofing companies usually pad the bill anyway where you aren't paying that much out of pocket. A ridiculous scam but it is their MO
