Why not play the toughest? Because you won’t make the tournament, where you can have a chance to beat anyone at any time as we’ve shown. Not making the tournament won’t attract the best recruits because you didn’t make the post season. You also won’t attract upper classman or grad students from the portal with one or two years remaining in their college careers and would do anything to make the NCAA Tournament… so if there’s a chance you don’t make the tournament then why would you come here.

How’s that for a few reasons. Think outside the box.
