Everything is relative to the league you play in and by SEC standards, MU is a down program. I don’t think LA is a bad coach, per se, but it is disappointing that in year 7 in the program that 2 out of the last 3 years have seen MU competing for last place in the SEC. LA is also a below .500 in SEC coach 7 yrs into her tenure. So to think that MU and LA are tracking toward greatness is to suspend disbelief too. Getting to a super regional a couple of times is her calling card but it is countered by aforementioned facts too. At best, she is an enigma. But I personally don’t love the trend line overall or what I’ve seen this year. Hard to project that MU greatness is just around the corner. But she will get the chance to disprove any apprehension by followers of the program.
