None of them want to face the reality is that the rich don't have enough money to pay for our current spending, let alone their other fantasies like universal healthcare, guaranteed basic income, free college, weed, subsidized housing, etc..

in The left's mind, we can just keep borrowing and spending, and when we default we will just force the nasty billionaires to pay for everything since they are such evil bastards (unless they donate heavily to lefty causes).

Most of these beliefs have been taught by lefty professors living off of tax dollars.
