First, the stock market is not our economy. Neither are crashing. One is experiencing a long, long, long overdue correction as we flush the pipes of all the crap that was propping it up.
There was never going to be a long term solution until there was some short term pain. That is how life works. Whether you begin working out again after years of inactivity, or you have knee replacement surgery, or you renovation your kitchen - there is a period of pain and deconstruction before the positive improvements kick in. I get it. This is uncomfortable. But the status quo was not sustainable. We are eating our vegetables at the moment. It is good for us in the long run.
