The problem for me is all the golf courses near my house

are private clubs. And beyond that is crowded city courses. So I drive up to a part of town with 3 nice courses that are almost never busy. Problem is they are 40-45 mins away.

At some point when I don't have as much parenting financial responsibility I might join a private one just so it's easier to play more.
