quo. Peanuts to the workers while they continue to enrich themselves. Progressives divide people into classes. Identity politics is one major example.
Marxism is anarchism. Marx saw capitalism concentrating wealth into the hands of the few while the people lived with less and less. He thought there would be social revolution where some of the upper middle class and lower rich would see that the concentration of wealth was starting to hurt them and join the working class against the elite. From that revolution would happen, with the workers and former elite joining them to seize power and remove class divides, then government would also evaporate.
Marx was wrong, but his ideology is quite different than the Progressives like AOC, who pretend to be for the people but go from bartender to millionaire on the backs of the people.
