I could not imagine a childhood that did not include hanging out with my friends in the neighborhood from dawn til dusk almost every day.

Even if we had allowed our daughter to be free range there were no kids outside for her to play with. My neighbor kid rides his bike once in a blue moon other than that I never see kids out being kids and I live a block from our elementary school.
