Your idea of a Ferrari is not too impressive. The two years prior to Anderson arriving was 59-57. One can say EE benefited by a once--in-a-generation pitcher in Chelsea Thomas and a chief recruiter and pitching/catching coach in Pete D'Amour. Once D'Amour left things quickly turned bad for the Mizzou program. Missouri was placed on probation due to EE's erratic behavior to umpires and opposing coaches. His berating of players was investigated and his refusal to cooperate led to his firing as most of his team had transferred from the program. After Thomas graduated the Tigers never won more than 43 games in a season. Without D-Amour mizzou's recruiting suffered under EE.
