but our BOC (and I don't mean Choi). All we really have to look at is what happened with our last coaching search in football. The BOC gave Sterk a budget, he told them it wasn't enough, they made him go look within that budget anyway. He brought them back what they asked for and when the fanbase threw a fit they promptly threw him under the bus rather than own the fact it was their actions not his that presented the lower candidates. Sterk was to blame only from the sense he didn't have the moxie to tell them no in the first place-which is what they want in an AD to begin with.
Alden was slimy-he kept surviving by placating the board-from the embarrassment of the naming of the arena and Ricky gate, to the Quin firing and grabbing Anderson out of his ass at the last minute, to the Haith hiring and other embarrassments.
Do you think Castiglione has the same sort of relationship with the board at oU? How about Mack Rhodes who couldn't get out of here fast enough-we all derided him when he left and all he's managed to do is win a couple on NC's at Baylor since he left.
