I could say this everyday but the reason these losses sting, Mizzou fans are brutal to the AD and embarrassed is because Mizzou doesn’t win **** often enough. There is just no recent history, beyond those who remember Norm’s last conference title run over 30 yrs ago to fall back on where you get to feel like, “Hey! We’re the champs!” And you could say it about every sport in the AD really. 55 yrs and I have never seen a football title beyond a divisional trophy that nobody respected because the other teams in the division were down. I’ll give volleyball and wrestling a pass but trophies matter more than short lived appearances in a tourney to build up fan goodwill. Other schools simply feed their fanbases a bone once in awhile in some sport.
