Embarrassed!
Later in the season, I remember this team grouping together in front of the camara post-game with their fingers placed over their lips as if to say. "We're good, but not talking about it.” IMO the coach allowing this to continue to happen only served as a catalyst to arrogance and over self-confidence which led to the team's demise. It also put a target on their backs that other teams feasted on. Those index fingers turned into middle fingers for old alums like me.
Last Night: Very minimal presence down low and IMO I would have played Marshall and let him run some of that extra weight off. What do I know?
Strike that, I do know one thing. I am embarrassed. We got our a$$ handed to us by a mid-major and what makes it worse is Bilas and Kellogg predicted it. Today, I am the one subconsciously putting my finger over my mouth in hopes that no one brings up my team’s performance last night and I am asked to discuss it.
