What is the purpose of statistical ranking?

the Net and Ken Pom are supposed to use statistics to come up with the ranking instead of bias... if you say ... no I don't like that the team is ranked 17 in the ranking then you are saying you are ok with the rankings until you disagree and then you'll "come up" with a way to penalize a team.. it's all too stupid

Mizzou's resume is good enough for a 5 seed.

is there even 1 other team that has 3 top 5 wins?
