We have this thing we aspire to called the 'free market economy'.
In a free market economy if you provide a highly valuable product or service you can charge a price for it.
None of the other students doing whatever it is they do on campus have tens of millions of people ready to pay to watch them do it.
If they did, they could get paid bigly as well.
Now, when someone provides a highly valuable product or service and a middleman steps in to take the profit for himself, that's called exploitation, if not outright theft.
You're probably against 'big-time' record companies ripping off rock and roll bands in that whole cliche scenario.
But here, when a university and it's alumni were ripping off a bunch of kids (many with disadvantaged backgrounds) suddenly since you're part of the scam it's all ok.
But, actually, it's not ok. And now the players are getting some of the value they provide.
They've earned it, they deserve it and those crying about a corrupt system (in which they participated) crashing to the ground are basically like ole mafia bosses, pyssed that they can't run the same ole scams as back in the day.
No one should feel sorry for these delusional old men.
Mizzou is better off under NIL and so any true Mizzou fan will cheer it on.
As for those who simply can't move forward to better days, well, dinosaurs gotta go...
