This isn't junior high.
All QB drills should be with three covered receivers and two delayed rushers (one from each side).
Coach yells 'Go' and the receivers run the routes.
Coach yells '1' and QB throws to option 1 regardless of coverage.
Same for '2' or '3' forcing a check-down.
Rushers are released after five seconds, then four, then three.
If any rusher touches the QB before he releases the ball he's down.
Run this drill like it's a real game situation, no high-stepping pretend run and catch by the receivers, DBs check at the line and contest the pass, attempting to intercept if possible.
Every pass practice sequence should be this way - trotting back with a cushion-covered helmet and throwing to uncovered receivers with no rush is literally PEE WEE football.
Practice like you mean to play...
