No Conservative can support DOGE

This being a JG post, I will tell you why:

1) Everything DOGE is doing is illegal (Unconstitutional).
Even if the corrupt Supreme bench legislators were to say otherwise, it is. The absolute most authority they have is
to audit the books and make recommendations.

2) Everything DOGE is doing is fundamentally dishonest.

This post from MU4ever contains a repost from Elon Musk himself touting 175 billion in savings
(the debt clock itself is an issue as of now its around
185 billion in purported "savings" and rising swiftly, but I digress). DOGE's own website says they have saved
105 billion thus far- at this very moment

Now when that site was boasting savings of 55 billion it was found they only had receipts for 2 billion and maybe had actual savings of 8 billion.

Another example the 50 million in rubbers to Gaza.
Turns out that was 50 million in aid, with a few thousand for prophylactics.
They have offered zero proof of any waste, abuse or fraud. They have offered taglines of things they do not like and called them waste, abuse and fraud however.
I have seen plenty of such thing over the past 50 years but then when you get an explanation of what the grant/spending/whatever, I may not agree to the spending but at least it made some sense as to why it came about

etc etc etc

3) They can not POSSIBLY be doing a thorough job. It's not even laughably in the most extreme realm of possibility. I was audited twice by the IRS (first time they gave me a 14 K refund, second time it came out as was filed- take that IRS!). The first one took 2 months
and the second took about 6 weeks. So Musk would have you believe that he has audited dozens of agencies, literally millions of people and certainly hundreds of millions of documents (at least) in a six week period. He could not have possibly audited the tiniest government agency in twice that time.

4) The scale of the whole thing is off by thousands of times. Even if every dime of Musk's reported savings was true. Just the interest of the remaining debt dwarfs
what was allegedly saved (and remember it has saved a maybe being generous 15% of that) by over 10 times.
Its like being 50,000 in debt on a credit card and cutting this years charging of 2000 dollars by 10 dollars. Its just ridiculous.
5) it has caused untold chaos, pain, agnst in what could have been totally avoided by telling every agency their funding would be cut 1% (as a start)

6) and this is the main reason no conservative can support it- Its entirely a dog and pony show to not cut spending , deficit or debt at all. It's all so they can
ADD over 100 billion in spending from the previous year
(or 1 trillion in doublespeak parlance).
As I said previously - had they frozen all spending to 2024 levels and merely added 50 billion to the budget
we would be 50 BILLION better off than we are going to be.

But here are some additional reasons it is all so bogus:
-how many billions of dollars has it cost to print new maps for the US government to rename (for 4 lousy years at that) Mt Denali and the Gulf of Mexico?
-How many billions to remove climate change from government textbooks and websites?
-how many billions to remove DEI and CRT from government publications (or to discard those already printed)
- how many millions for the trump to golf?

There are NO savings, no fraud charges, not even a casual tisk tisk to the military -where most of the waste, fraud and abuse shirley is.
