When the team was good Pierce started and contributed. Scouts saw him as a NBA prospect. That's disappeared. Yes, it's the coach's/staff's job to develop his skills and his talent, and give him confidence. He missed a FT and was gone.
At a crucial time, you don't run a play through Gray. The lob would have brought the house down IF he had caught it. He's uncoordinated.
At a crucial time, you TELL Crews to share the ball. That the coach hasn't really "coached" Crews is obvious. This is wrong.
The team has let the vandy loss despirit them.ky came out ready to lay down and MU didn't add to their opening advantage, especially rebounding. They let ky back in, ky came alive and started moving on offense. As ky intensity increased, the Tiger's decreased. Bad turnovers, shot selection, ball movement and few assists. Again more turnovers than assists. This shouldn't happen at home, especially on Senior Day. The crowd and team looked asleep during much of this morning game.
THere is hope. We've all seen this team be good. They will want to get over this nightmare ending to a great season. One win in the NCAA Tournament, could give them a chance at redemption. IDK what to do with the SECT other than win the first, and play the secondary players in the 2nd. Rest and get focused. There is discussion here about this but this team, especially Grill, need fresh legs.
