"Crash pad" was in the bay area - so I'd associate him more with the Dead and Patty Hearst (post-arrest).


He has a much more realistic connection with Jack Ruby than Manson.

I'm not denying he visited Manson, but the timing indicates he went to learn or at least get some insights from Manson. If Manson was an asset, they usually leave them to rot after their use is over, and if they do visit, it's to tie up any loose ends (see: Epstein)
