images when you actual look with your eyes. You only see a very small part of the image of reality at a time. That part of your brain constructs and fills in the rest of the picture that you are not focusing on. It basically renders what you aren't focused on. Crazy that you can't do that to much of a degree when you aren't actually looking at something. You'd think if it works while eyes open and looking, it would work all the time.
