it's probably a pretty good idea.

What if an American soldier decides to identify as a communist and start killing his own Squad members. Would we allow that?

Also, since "all is fair and love and war" eventually someone from a foreign army would Intentionally misgender, an American soldier. Then we'd have to stop the war, go to the HR department, maybe the UfN resolve the issue and punish the offending soldier appropriately, probably with execution after torture and then the war could resume.

We can't have our soldiers misgendered. That might hurt their feelings.
