Why? Because they screwed their desired outcomes up, preferring the big city asphalt heat sinks to measure instead, in order to show the "crisis".

Even worse, their solutions are the true problem, tripling energy cost, killing the poor, all to accomplish nothing.

Natural gas, nukes are the only real way to go carbon neutral. instead, the follow the science people keep wishing that solar and wind will work.
