If Russia had the ability to just "crush Ukraine, stop wherever it wants and keep whatever it wants" it would already ahve done so. You don't seem to understand why the Soviet Union broke up. You also don't seem to understand the growth of WW2. Capitulating to Germany early on helped escalate WW2. You also seem to have the unfounded assumption that Russia would stop with Ukraine, once they "crush Ukraine, stop wherever it wants and keep whatever it wants". I support sending aid to Ukraine as we have done so far, and pressuring the rest of Europe to send more aid. Russia does not have the economic strength to beat Europe and the US in a prolonged war, which is why it hasnt so far. Trying to keep up with the US in the cold war is what broke up the Soviet Union. If we capitulate to Russia now, it will take what they are given now, regroup, and try to take more as soon as it believes it can.
