I would make him choose. I think it's pretty clear his future is baseball. It's difficult as all his NIL is tied to football, so I understand wanting to continue to do both. If anything, this is his last shot. He beats out Beau this year or drops out (if I were Drink I would even make that clear).

This load has just proven too much of a load and can't be good for his future as he continues to get older. If he really believes he has a shot in baseball, I would get out of football and just get focused on this year or two and get positioned to get drafted in the top 2-3 rounds.
