Freshman outfielder Nevaeh Watkins who was competing for the start in RF was out of uniform and evidently unavailable the first weekend in Clearwater. She was with the team but wore shorts and a tee shirt and walked with a pronounced limp. I heard it was a sprained ankle. She was able to play catch with the other outfielders during pregame drills.
I know nothing about a timetable for her availability.
