have nothing to do with the economic problems we face. We do not have a trade problem. The trade deficit is not an issue. We don't have a monetary problem. We have a fiscal problem that is a result of overspending by the public sector. Imposing tariffs on our largest trade partners will not fix the fiscal problem, it will only make things worse.
