Such cases reflect a pervasive tradition of white people using their Black friends, family members, or associates as cover for racist statements or actions.
Fiji absolutely left KCMO to avoid the racial diversity, and he's using his wife & kids as props to defend it. That's textbook racism.
And btw, slave-masters were notorious for fathering children with their black slaves. It doesn't exempt someone from being a racist, which is why "I have a black baby's momma" (Fiji's excuse) is considered racist by the black community, especially for a guy who abandoned a community because of its diversity.
