However, "extremely generous" is relative.
She received BILLIONS of dollars of wealth from a Mizzou grad. And of those billions, she's donated a few million of it to put her name on a track-and-field stadium. Probably less than one percent of her net worth, and entirely tax deductible.
Now, if she were to give 10% of her numerous billions (e.g. $500 million) to the university — to use however it sees fit, with no strings attached – then THAT would be quite generous.
