I was thinking that a comeback would be, "senator have you ever had a boss with whom you disagreed, about anything? Would you resign over any disagreement in policy or practice senator?"
Clearly, the questions she put forward were more substantial than minor, procedural issues, getting to his fundamental core beliefs. Nonetheless, he offered no dispute as to the accuracy of her statements, no corrections to them, no explanations for his change of position and no examples of previous similar circumstances. In my recollection, he offered nothing at all.
