"I think the basketball team isn't getting much national attention because of its non-conference schedule. I understand why they scheduled weaker teams. But come on. This team has played only four or five road games. The other ranked teams have played at least eight. I don't understand the refusal to get in one of the early-season tournaments. It doesn't have to be Maui. Just play some neutral site games against teams we've actually heard of. It helps a team's overall rating. If they're not in one of those tournaments next year, I think they're doing a disservice to their fan base and hurting their schedule. I feel the same way about football. I understand why they schedule the way they do, but that doesn't mean I have to like it."
