Its not that different, neither is Harris declaring that the ERA is now ratified (which Trump supporters screamed about on this board). Just pointing out that neither actually changes anything until and unless the courts act. That being said, the 14th amendment is vague, and needs to be clarified. The court can do that, but once the court changes the answer may change, since precedent is quickly being thrown out the window. Really should have a constitutional amendment to clarify who actually becomes a citizen at birth. I would be fine with that, and thats the best answer in my opinion.
