It is a different era now with how much QB's make, you have to pay guys like Mahomes so much it's impossible to build the best roster around him. The thought being you need to win when you've got a good/great QB on a rookie contract...so far that's not happened since Mahomes came off his rookie contract that i can think of. The Bengals had a chance but lost.
