In fact all the passages that mention her specifically state that Paul would "speak/teach" in the synagogue, not "they".

Apollos also spoke in the synagogue, and when he needed to be shown the way of God more accurately, they invited him to their home.


You do have a better argument for Phoebe - she is at least called a servant of the church. Probably helped make the orange drink for VBS
