Lots of those in the church of the day told Jesus and the Apostles they were wrong. Many people would rather honor culture than the Word of God. Always been that way, always will.
"Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" (Matthew 7:22-23)
Not saying allowing a woman pastor removes one from the kingdom of God, but it is never a good idea to think you know better than He does what He wants us to do.
