We had to renegotiate our first farm purchase three times, as interest rates fell over the next few years. We bought that farm in 1980 when interest rates were double digit. On our second farm purchase we pegged the annual interest rate to the farm loan rate at the seller's personal bank in Ray County. It was much fairer and we never renegotiated the terms.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
