Pretty sure attendance was MUCH better when Sophie was at MU. I think they got 10,000 for a game or two. I don’t think it is a bad state for women’s basketball if you are good. Just like volleyball and softball, enthusiasm and interest are greatly enhanced by good players and winning against good teams. Women’s sports have marched a thousand miles since Joni Davis and Rutherford.
