Turkey is realizing it will never be accepted in Europe and now wants to look East to gain leverage long term. My analysis? It's a little too late to the ball game, making its bed with foreign fighters in Syria is not a long term strategy. They will never control all of Syria and have lost the respect of the local people. Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, Iraqis are the local population supported by Iran. Turkey saw this and is worried about its own influence. It's too late to the game. They haven't made enough inroads. Azerbaijan will be dealt with correctly. Again, Iran is on the right side of that conflict supporting the Armenians who deserve more say in that part of the world. Turkey also had a Kurdish problem, unlike Iran. The Kurds are Iranian...and they have the best lives within Iran. They populate most of eastern Turkey and Iran has been helping them, which is why Turkey is ****ed but they have a lot of internal problems now.
