That being said, I am surprised how many people want to speak with great confidence about topics here where it soon becomes clear they aren't even keeping up with the most basic of news on the stories. Certainly free to do so. Just not sure or why someone would feel so compelled to argue about issues they clearly do not follow even at a very high level.

To each his/her own. Just find it interesting.
