In 1969, I believe we shared the conference title with Nebraska and lost to Penn State in the Orange Bowl. We haven't won an outright conference title since being in the Big Six in 1945.

I've been saying on here before that an administration's resources and commitment to a program is just important as who the head coach or manager is.

I can't see us ever dropping a sport -- especially a women's sport. Title IX won't allow it. Other schools that have tried to drop WBB ended up bringing it back under negative feedback.

When I attended MU from 1978-84, they actually dropped tennis for a while but eventually brought it back.
