Grew up on ND football

My dad took me to countless games, including original “green jersey” game and the Montana frozen Cotton Bowl. Saw the first night game…a victory over Michigan. Went to the Sugar Bowl victory over Florida and the “Bush Push.” Had not been back since the Bush Push, and went this year to, of all games, the NIU game.

I live and die Mizzou football, but have a soft spot for the Irish. I succeeded in making Mizzou my dad’s second favorite team. I took him to the ‘97 Nebraska game. He, like me, was devastated.

I’ll be pulling for ND. Hard to fight heritage.
