However, if we as the voting public continue to elect representatives who act as though they are rulers dictating to us rather than representing us, and we as the voting public do not replace them even though we hold the power to do so, isn't that on we the voting public?
Let me put it this way. If a board of directors brings in a person and gives them great power, and that person begins doing things the board disagrees with strongly yet the board continues to pay them and go along with everything that person puts into place even though they disagree with it, is the problem more with the employee or the board who refuses to act?
