and faster into the full-time indoctrination business, so it's not surprising it becomes like the catholic church in this regard.

I recognize both institutions have always been about indoctrination, but the public school system was, imo, largely filled with unwitting indoctrinators whereas now too many seek out the job in order to indoctrinate.
