It's why you root for conference teams on your schedule to do well out of conference. If overall they do very well, which they have this year, you can get away with a terrible OOC schedule if you win your share in the conference. The bubbleheads that can't wait for "Auburn to lose" or "Arkansas to lose" or "Tennessee to lose" OOC truly don't get it.
