your QB has an off night, you can't defeat a highly ranked team. Each of the SEC teams that lost suffered a poor QB performance. Even Ewers has a subpar performance and they almost got beat. OTOH, Mizzou's Cook had probably his best game of the season and it was enough to put away Iowa.
