You are correct. Obviously it is a metter of opinion, but as bad of a president as he was, Jimmy Carter was a good person. His presidency wasn't good, as he wasn;t skilled in many of the things that are needed to be a good president, but must would agree that he genuinely cared about people and wanted to do a good job. Bad president, good person.
