Trump rode out the economic foundations established by Obama - longest string of job growth. Trump did nothing. His economic policy was tax breaks for the elite and tariffs, not quite the "wonderful things" you claim. The economy was already slowing down when Covid began and all Trump did was to tell the public that Covid would go away like by magic by Easter. His interest was all about him. And YES - I think ethics stands very high in selection of leadership. Had the nation followed Carters leadership with solar power nearl0 years ago and had we followed that lead, our need for oil would have fell dramatically.
