which are a social construct with biology. Gender roles say men should do this, women should do that. People fall into gender roles because most people just go along with the flow in their lives of what society expects of them.

It’s why women got custody in most divorce cases, based upon the assumption that mothers are better at parenting. But research showed this isn’t the case and single fathers with custody of their kids is growing as the legal system is moving away from that assumption.

Job roles that men take and women take are influenced by gender roles.
