Since college football has embraced the participation trophy mentality, why shouldn't the NFL follow suite?

Would Dallas Cowboys fans be excited to play the Chicago Bears in the "consolation bowl"?

It would give them an extra couple weeks of practice to evaluate and develop talent for the upcoming year.
