they're an afterthought program in an afterthought league. they're in a poor, low population state surrounded on all sides by states with much better demographics and economics. every bordering state has a blue blood football program, or at least a top-tier program and they're all poaching your talent (players and coaches and staff).

i don't know how the money looks for their athletic department, but i have to think it's significantly lower than others in the region and probably low even compared to b12 programs.

seems like one of the worst possible landing spots for a coach hoping to advance in his career.
